More than 3,900 jobs are currently open in Romania for Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war, according to this week’s data from the National Employment Agency (ANOFM), cited by Economedia.ro.
A total of 647 Ukrainian citizens have already registered with ANOFM regional agencies to benefit from labor market information, counseling and mediation services.
Most of the Ukrainian refugee citizens registered in the registers were in the counties of Suceava (74), Arad (73), Bistriţa-Năsăud (67), Bihor (62), Bucharest (44), Timiş (41). Among them, 382 are already employed by ANOFM.
Professions of employed Ukrainian citizens are car wiring manufacturers, automotive industry specialists, textile industry workers, construction workers, violinists, drivers, Horeca employees and sales representatives.
In addition, 247 employers expressed their willingness to employ Ukrainian citizens, declaring 3,932 vacancies available for such persons.
The main jobs are in restaurants; manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment for motor vehicles; manufacture of other articles of clothing; shoe manufacturing; manufacture of rolling stock. There is also a need for unskilled labor in various fields of activity.
Ukrainian citizens can be employed without a work permit; they can also benefit from employment stimulation measures, as well as protection under the unemployment insurance system, under the conditions provided by law for Romanian citizens, provided that they register with the county employment agencies.
