National Employment Agency, Azerconnect ink MoU

The National Employment Agency of Azerbaijan, under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, and the company Azerconnect, one of the largest employers in the ICT market, have signed a memorandum of understanding.

The document was signed by the chairman of the board of directors of the agency, Mustafa Abbasbayli, and the general director of Azerconnect, Emil Masimov.

Within the framework of the agreement, the parties will cooperate in the fields of activities of the agency and projects of common interest.

At the same time, cooperation will be established with Azerconnect on the provision of vocational guidance and training, the improvement of knowledge and skills of the unemployed and job seekers in accordance with the requirements of the labor market.

The document also provides for the preparation of proposals for the development of corporate social relations and the support of Azerconnect in the framework of the “job marathon” for the employment of family members of martyrs and veterans. It also envisages the implementation of relevant activities, joint innovation projects, events and forums.

At the same time, the memorandum provides for the implementation of various incentives, including the implementation of programs and projects by the agency to stimulate interest in additional job offers and the establishment of social enterprises to people with special needs in terms of social protection and difficulties in finding jobs.

In addition, it envisages additional assistance from Azerconnect to support and develop the activities of those involved in active employment programs, provide opportunities for internships in the company and assistance in providing relevant jobs for those engaged in a professional training.

Earlier, it was reported that the National Employment Agency involved 14,200 people in the self-employment program in January-November 2021. In total, the agency provided jobs to 74,203 unemployed and job seekers. employment during the first 11 months of the year.

The agency and the ministry take consistent measures to provide social support to vulnerable groups of the population, including the families of martyrs, veterans and war-affected civilians.
